Busy, Busy, Busy...

Ok, here's what the last several days have looked like and will look like for me...

I worked all day Friday then rushed home to change clothes and headed to a work banquet that lasted till about 9:30 that night. I got up early on Saturday and my sister and I went down to my parents to help do some remodeling. I got home about 9:00 that night. We left for church about 8:45 Sunday morning went out with friends for lunch and stayed at thier house until church that night. After Sunday night church we went out with other friends and once again didn't get home until about 9:30 (we were gone for over 12 hours that day). I got up early on Monday morning and worked all day. I then ran home to change clothes and head to a church bible study...I didn't get home until 9:00. I got up on Tuesday (today) and am working all day and then I am heading to a pilates lesson and then out to dinner with a friend. I'm getting up extra early on Wed to head to Tulsa to spend some time with my sis-in-law and niece and nephew (Nic's bro is gone on business so I'm going up to help Sarah with the kids while she works). I won't return home until sometime late Friday night.

Whew, I'm just exhausted from typing everything. I'll be glad for a break come Saturday. My poor, sweet husband probably thinks I'm never going to cook dinner for him ever again. I'm so thankful that he allows me to go and do like this. He is so wonderful!!! My poor house though...it needs some attention so badly...I had to stay up late last night doing some laundry so we would have some clean clothes. When the only time your home is to change clothes and sleep things start to pile up. I'll get home on Saturday just in time to pack suitcases so we can leave on Wed to family's for Thanksgiving. Man how the times flys!!!

Hmmmm.....what to talk about...
Not much has been going on, but at the same time everything is going on....ever had one of those times in your life???
I'm still reading the same book (The Secret Life of Bees). I'm not very motivated to read right now. Sometimes after I read several books in a row I get unmotivated for awhile. I have no idea why, but after a few weeks I'll pick it back up and won't stop until several books later. Who knows...who knows????

I just joined a book club at church. The next book assigned is The Host by Stephenie Meyer. Which, for me, is great because I already have it on my list of many books to read. I don't have to have it read until the end of January so I have plently of time to read it and a few more. After the January meeting the choice of book will be mine...so, if anyone has good suggestions I'm all ears!!

Ok, let's try this book thing...

This spring and summer I was able to read many books but I'm only going to highlight the ones that I really enjoyed. Believe it or not, I got into the Twilight series and am now a HUGE fan. I absolutly loved these books and would highly recommend them. I also really got into several of Ted Dekker's books. A couple of my favorets were Blink of an Eye, Saint, and Obsessed. Showdown was pretty good as well but I would not recommend Skin. I just got through with a young adult series but I don't think I would let my teenager read them. The names of the books were Uglies, Pretties, and Specials. It was a great series and the concept/idea that the author was portraying was very good but the last two books introduced the notion of "cutting." I don't want to tell you what the idea of the books was about because it would give too much away. I think these are great books and would recommend them to any adult woman...if you can get passed the, at times, childish writing (since after all it was written for young teens). Right now, I'm reading The Secret Life of Bees. I went with several ladies from church to see the movie and one of them let me borrow her book. The moive was very enjoyable and so far, the movie did well in following the book. I will let you know what I think when I finish the whole thing.
